Uber to refund family all but agreed cost of $214 for Summerfest to Brookfield trip

UPDATE: Uber contacted our sister station WISN 12 News on Monday and said it will be refunding the family all the money except for the original fee of $214.

The company said it reviewed Keith Tubin’s complaints from over the weekend.


For the thousands of people who go to Summerfest, Uber is the official rideshare company.

It’s a service Keith Tubin and his family used Wednesday night as they have regularly in the past.

“Two hundred dollars to get to the first stop,” Tubin said. “We asked if he could take us a couple more places, he said no problem. He put it in the computer. I wake up the next morning with a fraud alert on the credit card, $898.  […]
