Service that delivers Wegmans, Whole Foods and Costco to launch in Lehigh Valley

Lehigh Valley residents soon will be able to get items from Wegmans , Whole Foods Markets and Costco, among other retailers, delivered straight to their doorsteps.

That’s because Instacart, a retail delivery service founded five years ago in San Francisco, is launching in the Lehigh Valley on Wednesday, giving 206,000 households across 27 ZIP codes in the area the ability to hop on their laptop or smartphone and shop virtually with any of Instacart’s retail partners.

Instacart, which partners with more than 60 retailers across the country, has formal agreements with Wegmans, Whole Foods, Costco (no Costco membership needed) and Petco to provide same-day delivery to customers.
