Final Approach for Uber and Lyft Landing at Buffalo’s Airport

In a matter of weeks, you can take an Uber or Lyft to and from Buffalo’s airport, but before then, Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority officials and airport staff are working on new signage, determining where those cars and drivers will go, and the matter of driver fees, something cab drivers already pay.

To help determine when Uber and Lyft drivers will have to pay up, those officials have drawn up what’s called a “geofence.” It’s an invisible boundary that uses GPS technology to track each time one of those drivers makes a stop on airport property.
