Uber Freight launches in US

In an industry already rife with digital disruption through self drive advancements, the presence of the conglomerate has sent waves of uncertainty through the sectors more traditional business models.

Unlike the original Uber model, the Uber Freight app aims to capitalise on the already established owner driver presence in the U.S by connecting carriers to freight owners in real time, offering both dry and refrigerated shipments.

Uber Freight’s major selling point however is its ability to pay for each job within a few days, fee-free, for every single load.

“When things don’t go as planned or drivers have to wait longer than expected, we pay for that too.
