How to tour the world through communal tables

When we found out we made the itinerary on one traveler’s round-the-world adventure, we had to reach out for all the details (to live vicariously through her, of course). Guest Holly Shulman has a successful career in politics, and is currently blogging her way across the globe. Then check out her blog for inspiration on how you can travel around the world one day too… “In September in Paris, we had dinner at Claudine’s , which offered fabulous French food. We learned translations of quirky French proverbs painted on the dinner plates. We learned how to bargain at French food markets, and how to tell if a vendor was selling his or her farm’s own produce.

Our dinner party company was a Midwestern family traveling out of the country for their first time. Is this who we expected to meet at a dinner party in Paris? Definitely not.
