On Saturday, anyone in southern Westchester with the Uber app will be able to request a driver to pick up clothing for donation. The driver will take the bags to either the Goodwill Store & Donation Center in New Rochelle or the Goodwill Attended Donation Center in Eastchester.
“The goal is to make it as convenient and seamless as possible for people to donate their clothes while they’re doing spring cleaning,” said Uber spokesperson Alix Anfang.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, a Goodwill pop-up will appear at the bottom of the Uber app screen for Westchester residents south of White Plains. The user can request a driver, who will take gently-used clothing, shoes or accessories to the nearest Goodwill location.
