Just Eat former boss returns to corporate life at venture capitalist after surprise resignation

David Buttress will join venture capitalist 83 North – an early investor in Just Eat – as a general partner in June to identify technology entrepreneurs with potential.

The 41-year-old announced his resignation from Just Eat in February, due to ‘urgent family matters’.

He will initially work two days a week in his new role, before going full time in 2018.

Buttress will be based at 83 North’s London office, working with fellow partners in the firm’s second office in Tel Aviv.

83 North invests in European and Israeli entrepreneurs.
