Home grocery delivery service to start in Knoxville

Your weekly groceries delivered to your door. it’s the idea behind Instacart. Guarav Maken is an Instacart shopper who says, “It works by the customer opening a mobile app and picking products they want and the delivery option and I take care of the rest..”

Knoxville residents can order from Whole Foods, Publix, Kroger, Costco, and Petco. It will be there within an hour, within two hours, or you can schedule it up to seven days in advance.

Instacart is estimated to bring 100 new jobs to the area. Maken says, “One of the things I love is the flexibility. I’m a student and it helps me work around my class hours. It also helps me pay the bills and I get a little side income.”
