20 brand new local experiences, dubbed ‘Trips’ ( see gallery below ), are bookable as of today on its website, airbnb.ie , with prices from €23pp.
The news was announced this afternoon at Oscailte, the company’s annual gathering of Irish hosts at the Airbnb Dublin office on Hanover Quay.
Launched in 2008 and now active in 65,000 cities across 191 countries, the holiday rental giant has been branching out from accommodation in recent time, with everything from local tours to flight-booking tools on its radar. Paddle through Dublin, a new Airbnb experience ‘Trips’, described as “the most significant development” in Airbnb’s lifespan, are “immersive” travel experiences both opening up the concept of hosting and providing more engaging offers to its customers.
Jonathan Mildenhall, Airbnb CMO, said:
