Rappi, the e-commerce revolution comes from Colombia

Now it is possible to buy consumer products in a simple way, send cash, order dishes or buy medicines without leaving home thanks to Rappi, the smartphone app that revolutionizes the way of shopping, created in 2015 by young Colombian entrepreneurs Sebastián Mejía, Simón Borrero and Felipe Villamarín.

The idea is an innovative business model, which is why Silicon Valley investors have supported these pioneers with capital through the accelerator And Combinator, an achievement that no other Latin American company had achieved before.

Sebastián Mejía comments that Rappi is the next level of purchases: The application consists of reproducing virtually the shelves of a supermarket and with the touch of a finger select the products and place them in the basket that is on the screen. It also allows commenting on the characteristics that the purchase must have.
