Death threat linked to Grab, Uber cases?

AFTER their personnel received death threats, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) requested for security from the Cebu City Police Office to track down those responsible.

According to LTRFB 7 Director Ahmed Cuizon, one of his personnel received a threat on his cellular phone and that the agency has been monitoring vile comments on social media to see if one of the users had issued the threat.

“Apparently if there’s a threat to one of our men, that puts at risk not only the life of that person but the rest of us in LTFRB 7,” he said.

Cuizon asked Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Joel Doria yesterday for regular police patrols outside LTFRB, aside from the two officers from Mabolo Police Station who have been assigned to them.

Doria promised to direct beat patrol officers to go around the agency’s office regularly.

“They are now trying to identify the people behind our operations and even posting their faces so that the rest of the members will know them personally. We perceive that as a threat,” Cuizon said.
